Viewing your customer Portfolio
Initial Setup:
Customer data is filtered and displayed based on settings configured by your admin.
Ensure the filter typically includes "life cycle stage is customer" to correctly reflect the customer phase in HubSpot.
View Permissions:
Your view will only display customers for whom you are set as the owner in HubSpot. This could be determined by a company owner, customer success owner, account manager, or similar roles defined in HubSpot.
Tip: If some expected customers are missing from your view, verify with your admin whether the correct filters are applied and properties in HubSpot are updated.
Segmenting the Portfolio
Using views
Custom Views: You can segment your portfolio horizontally by impact area (e.g., adoption) or other criteria using HubSpot properties.
Account Plans Filtering:
If you use account plans, you can filter to view only the impact drivers that are included in those plans.
Note: Detailed usage of account plans will be covered in a separate tutorial.
Creating Custom Filters:
Filters can be created based on any HubSpot property, such as contact date or customer segment (e.g., SMB).
Example: Set a filter to display customers whose contact date is before a specific date.
Using HubSpot Company Properties:
Enhance your views by adding any HubSpot company property such as ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) or Ultra Renewal.
This flexibility allows you to tailor the information displayed according to your specific needs.
Tips
Regular Updates: Ensure that all relevant HubSpot properties are up-to-date to maintain accuracy in your custom views.
Collaborate with Admins: Work closely with your admin to adjust filters and properties according to evolving business needs.
Leverage Properties: Utilize various HubSpot properties creatively to gain deeper insights into your customer base.
